structural biology & cell biology of microbes
We study the structural mechanisms and cell biology of microbes and their interactions with hosts, using integrative approaches including X-ray crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo-EM), cryo-electron tomography (Cryo-ET), optical microscopy, biochemistry, microbial genetics and cell biology.
Two-labs-in-one
Since their inception in 2017, the Bhabha and Ekiert Labs have joined forces and function as a single group, with many close collaborations between lab members, as well as joint group meetings, lab retreats and outings. Lab members belong to both labs, and we share projects, equipment, reagents and ideas.
